John D. Moriarty Elected PSRB Managing Partner

By

Plews Shadley Racher and Braun LLP is pleased to announce that John D. Moriarty has been elected by his partners to serve as managing partner of the firm, effective January 1, 2018. Moriarty succeeds Jeffrey D. Featherstun, who concluded his service in this role at the end of 2017 and will continue to focus on his work in the areas of insurance coverage and environmental law.

Moriarty represents policyholders in insurance coverage matters and plaintiffs and defendants in environmental and other litigation matters. His insurance coverage work includes multiple matters concerning cleanups arising from gasoline stations and dry cleaning operations. John is particularly well versed in the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) Underground Storage Tank Program’s rules, laws and policies. John has successfully prosecuted administrative appeals with Indiana’s excess liability trust fund to clean up contaminated petroleum sites. John defends property owners against claims involving Indiana’s Environmental Legal Action Statute and Underground Storage Act. He also represents buyers and sellers of gas stations, dry cleaners, and contaminated properties in numerous real estate transactions. He defends towns and cities against environmental claims asserted by IDEM and the US EPA.

In addition to John, the following Plews Shadley Racher & Braun partners have been elected to serve on the Management Committee for 2018: Tonya J. Bond, Christopher J. Braun, Daniel P. Cory, George M. Plews, and Todd G. Relue.
