John Moriarty represents policyholders in insurance coverage matters and plaintiffs and defendants in environmental and other litigation matters. His insurance coverage work includes multiple matters concerning cleanups arising from gasoline stations and dry cleaning operations. John is particularly well versed in the Indiana Department of Environmental Management’s Underground Storage Tank Program’s rules, laws and policies. John has successfully prosecuted administrative appeals with Indiana's excess liability trust fund to clean up contaminated petroleum sites. John’s numerous bar association contributions include serving as Chair (2007-2008), Newsletter Editor (2003-2006) and Treasurer and Chair-Elect (2005-2007) of the Environmental Law Section of the Indiana State Bar Association. John received his B.S. (Business Administration) from Indiana University, Bloomington in 1989. He earned an M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in 1991. John earned his law degree from the Indiana University Indianapolis - Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1995. John was an associate at Stilwell McCrossen & Life, Indianapolis from 1996 to 1997. He was a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Miami County, Indiana from 1997 to 1998. John joined this firm in 1999 and was made a Partner in 2009.
