Plews Shadley Racher & Braun’s Gregory M. Gotwald admitted to American College of Coverage Counsel

By

Plews Shadley Racher & Braun LLP (PSRB) is pleased to announce Greg Gotwald has been admitted as a fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel (ACCC), the preeminent association who represent the interests of insurers and policyholders in disputes arising out of insurance policies.

George M. Plews said “This is a well-deserved honor for Greg, and we are proud of his accomplishment. His experience helping policyholders navigate complex insurance policies and claims, and his deep knowledge of insurance coverage law will truly be an asset to the ACCC.”

Greg joined PSRB in 2004 and has focused his litigation practice on insurance-coverage law and environmental law. He is the co-leader of the firm’s COVID-19 insurance recovery work helping businesses recover lost income from the coronavirus pandemic. His extensive experience with various types of insurance policies, including commercial general liability (“CGL”), first-party property (including business income/business interruption), product liability, director and officer (“D&O”), errors and omissions (“E&O”), fidelity, crime, and pollution-liability policies make him well-suited as an ACCC fellow.

Greg Gotwald said “I’m truly honored to have been nominated and selected as a member of such a prestigious organization. ACCC’s members are the best of the best coverage attorneys around the country and Canada.”

The ACCC, established in 2012, is an invitation-only organization of senior lawyers who have devoted most of their practice to insurance disputes for 15 years or more. The ACCC’s Fellows include many of the most prominent members of the insurance law bars of the United States and Canada, as well as Honorary Fellows from academia and the judiciary.

The ACCC focuses on educating all sectors involved in the field of insurance law – including the judiciary, legal and insurance professionals, law students and businesses – on cutting edge, emerging, and critical issues such as developing trends in insurance law and bad faith, trial practice and alternative dispute resolution, policy formation and claims handling.

The ACCC’s mission is to advance the creative, ethical and efficient resolution of insurance coverage and extracontractual disputes; to enhance the civility and quality of the practice of insurance law; to provide peer-reviewed scholarship; and to improve the relationships among the members of our profession.

“The ACCC is delighted to welcome Greg Gotwald as the latest member to become actively involved in its work,” said Sherilyn Pastor, president of ACCC.
