By

Jeffrey D. Featherstun will present at the Indiana RIMS (The Risk Management Society) monthly meeting on Thursday, May 12. His presentation, “Using Historical General Liability Insurance to Offset Long-Tail Liabilities: Recent Legal Developments,” focuses on allocation, known loss, trigger of coverage, defense costs, prejudgment interest, and pollution exclusions.

Featherstun has focused his practice on insurance coverage and environmental law for more than two decades. He worked on a series of cases that helped make Indiana one of the most favorable jurisdictions for policyholders facing environmental liabilities. His environmental law practice has included litigating a number of issues of first impression, clarifying federal and state environmental laws. Featherstun is a graduate of Indiana University (1982 – B.A.) and he earned his Juris Doctorate in 1992 from University of Michigan Law School. He has been selected for inclusion on the Super Lawyers list published in Indiana Super Lawyers each year since 2009 and has been selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America since 2012.
