Curt DeVoe Elected Vice President of Clear Choices Clean Water
Curt DeVoe, a partner at Plews Shadley Racher & Braun LLP, has been elected vice president of Clear Choices Clean Water, LLC, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Upper White River Watershed Alliance. He also serves on the Alliance board.
Clear Choices Clean Water is an award-winning campaign designed to increase awareness about water quality and simple choices people make that impact streams, rivers, lakes, and groundwater. Individuals are encouraged to pledge to either start, or continue, good practices and behaviors that make a difference for water quality and for water conservation (for example, picking up pet waste to reduce bacterial contamination in drinking water sources, or reducing the use of fertilizers to reduce the amount of harmful algae). Curt DeVoe serves as the managing partner of Plews Shadley Racher & Braun. His legal practice focuses on environmental compliance and litigation. He has a broad knowledge of and experience with Indiana and federal environmental laws and programs that pertain to solid and hazardous waste, wastewater, surface water, wetlands, groundwater and air. He applies that expertise not only to work for his clients but also to non-profits such as Clear Choices Clean Water, the White River Alliance, Central Indiana Land Trust, and other organizations.
