PSRB is proud to support the continuing work of the Legal Aid Centre of Eldoret, Kenya, or “LACE”.   LACE, a partnership between the legal communities of Eldoret and Indianapolis, is a clinic offering free legal services to Kenyans infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.

PSRB has been a leading supporter of LACE almost from its inception. In 2009, shortly after the clinic opened its doors, PSRB sent two of its attorneys, Donna Marron and Theresa Willard, to Kenya as part of the first delegation of Indianapolis legal professionals to tour the clinic.  Several months later, the firm sponsored a holiday bazaar to sell products handmade at the Imani Workshop in Eldoret.  Imani is a Fair Trade crafts workshop supporting HIV positive artisans in Kenya.  Proceeds from the sale were divided between Imani and LACE.  In May 2010, PSRB was joined by a handful of other Indianapolis law firms in sponsoring the inaugural Race for LACE, a fundraising event run in conjunction with the Indianapolis 500 Mini-Marathon.  In 2011, even more law firms joined PSRB as sponsors of the Race.  Ms. Marron and Ms. Willard are members of the Indianapolis board for LACE, and PSRB continues to host monthly board meetings.
